Fin 2016, Kid Cudi est sorti des ténèbres juste le temps d'annoncer son album de la renaissance, "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'" -qui, déjà, annonçait la couleur- tandis que Kanye West annulait sa tournée pour se faire, lui aussi, interner. Après quelques featurings (notamment sur l'excellent "Erase me"), ils ont sorti en juin 2018 ce court (7 titres) mais riche album. Rien que la pochette, une estampe réalisée par l'artiste japonais Takashi Murakami, traduit la dualité entre l'émanation créative et les tourments lugubres qui animent les deux hommes.

De cette judicieuse collab, on a choisi le titre "Reborn" qui caractérise à la fois les deux artistes et ce projet commun. Intitulé "Kids See Ghost", il réunit deux artistes talentueux mais un brin mégalo en proie à leurs démons et qui survivent, entre autres, grâce à la musique. Kid Cudi chante en refrain à quel point il est difficile mais important d'avancer, de surmonter ses angoisses, et Kanye West raconte dans les couplets quelques-uns de ses combats intérieurs. Même si leurs univers musicaux sont assez différents, ils partagent cette passion et ce besoin de la création musicale, et on est bien contents qu'ils le partagent avec nous aussi.

En diciembre del año 2016, Kid Cudi ha salido de la oscuridad y anuncío su nuevo album, "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin"- que presentó bien el estilo del cantante - mientras Kanye West ha cancelado su gira porque fue internado. Después de muchas colaboraciones (por ejemplo el excelente "Erase me"); han salido en junio del año 2018 ese corto ( 7 canciones) pero bonito álbum. La portada del álbum, creada por un artista japonés Takashi Murakami, traduce la creatividad y los tormentos que tienen los dos hombres.

Hemos escojido, la cancion "Reborn" que caracteriza a los dos artistas y al proyecto común. El título "Kids See Ghost", reúne dos artistas talentosos pero un poco atormentados. Kid Cudi canta en el coro, lo importante que es avanzar en la vida, pero lo importante que es superar los demonios, y Kanye West cuenta en las estrofas una de sus luchas internas. Sus universos musicales son diferentes, comparten esa misma pasíon y creatividad musical, y estamos muy contentos que lo compartan con nosotros tambíen.

In december 2016, Kid Cudi came out of the darkness to release the amazing and long-awaited album "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'" -which characterized his state of mind- whereas Kanye West cancelled his tour to go in a mental facility. They had worked together in the past (for the great single "Erase Me") and in June 2018 they released this short (7 songs) but intense album. The artwork itself, created by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, embodies the fight between the light (the artistic creation) and the darkness that the two rappers know too well.

We chose the song "Reborn" which characterizes the two artists and this whole project at the same time. "Kids See Ghost" gathers two talented but a bit megalomaniac artists, struggling and surviving thanks, among other things, to music. Kid Cudi sings in the chorus how difficult but important it is to overcome his depression, and Kanye West raps in the verses about his personal conflicts. Even though their musical universe are quite different, they share their passion about music and this need to create, and we are glad they share it with us too.
